ABC-approved specialization programs help professionals build advanced preparation in a focused area of behavior change practice. These programs extend foundational coaching or behavior change competence into a specific population, setting, role, condition area, or applied domain.
Specializations are designed for professionals who want more than general exposure to a topic. They support applied learning, real-world practice, reflection, and demonstration of competence in a defined area of practice.
After successfully completing an ABC-approved specialization program, eligible learners may receive an individual specialization badge issued by the Academy for Behavior Change.
What Does It Mean to Complete a Specialization?
Completing a specialization means participating in a structured learning pathway aligned with an ABC competency framework. Each approved program is designed to help learners strengthen specialized knowledge, apply skills in realistic contexts, and demonstrate preparation for practice in the specialization area.
